Bio/History/Personality: The Following is an excerpt from an article in the newspaper:
The Matolliarty Corporation is the one of the world’s leaders in scientific and technological prowess. It is a large producer of millions of electronic and computer equipment, but the largest share of its power was in the military and security sectors. The Matolliarty Corporation is owned and run primarily by the Matolliarty family, from its beginning about 450 years ago. The times were good for the Matolliarty family, whose company went from a small family business to a world super power. When their main competitor, V-Tech Industries, was destroyed by a freak accident in its power plant, the Matolliarty Corporation bought all the leftovers from its former rival, and the rest is history.
However, recent times have not been kind to the family. Mr. and Mrs. Matolliarty, and their twin daughters, Melinda and Gwen, were the only surviving members of the family (the rest had died for various reasons, from sickness to plane accidents). The true bad luck was just to begin. Mr. Matolliarty went off to a space colony on a business trip, but went missing along the way. He was never found. Mrs. Matolliarty became an alcoholic after the loss of her husband. Months later, things really became dark when Gwen, one of the twins, murdered her mother in cold blood and then escaped, never to be found. The reason for Gwen’s psychotic breakdown is still not known, but it is certainly linked to her father’s disappearance. The sole remaining member of the family, Melinda Matolliarty, was then adopted by the family’s loyal butler, who raised her from the age of 14, which was how old she was at the time of her mother‘s death.
The corporation would seem to have been left leaderless, but the young Melinda quickly asserted herself as a passionate and capable leader, despite only being 14 years old. The child prodigy managed to increase the corporation’s already formidable power. Despite all this, she keeps her personal life to herself and so we know very little about her. Regardless of who you are, everyone owes their continued global security to this tragic hero…

Name: Aequoris "Umino" Lucriditus
Age: Unknown and unreleased
Gender: Androgynous with male features
Skill/special power: Umino has the ability to manipulate Life Force, a matter present within all beings similar to Stamina. He can drain the life force from things and use it to replenish himself. He can also transfer Life Force from a being into a catalyst, most often his sword. However, he is literally unable to kill anything whatsoever, as it goes against his Command Prompt. Therefore, he only ever drains less than 1/10 of the life force from someone, making this a not very useful power at all in the hands of Umino.
Appearance: "True Form": Umino's true form is an old, shut down GF-class Destroyer Ship. Due to its size and menacing appearance, it is most commonly referred to as a “Doom Ship”. The ship spans approximately one mile in length, the metal being a dull gunmetal which used to be so shiny it was nearly reflective. Its name is engraved on its starboard wing, bringing fear to those who live long enough to see it. It possesses an impressive array of engines and other devices to be used for propulsion, and is capable of storing an impressive 50 yottabytes of memory. It was created back in 2009 by its only serving Lord Admiral, but shut itself down after his death.

"Sword Form": His secondary form is Hai, a five-foot claymore that is only spoken of in legend. The golden blade includes a jet-black hilt that extends into a long black ribbon, which makes it simple for a reckless warrior to throw or swing it at an opponent in dire situations. It used to be capable of heating to an extreme temperature while conducting energy-based fire abilities that lash out from nearly every section of the blade. However, when Umino's True Form was shut down, this ability was sealed away.

"Human Form": His human form is his favorite, as it offers him the most mobility and attracts less attention than his other forms. He sports long, blood-red hair that extends all the way past his ankles, and dead black eyes. His skin is deeply tanned due to a long period of exposure from the sun, the exception being an area of his left arm that is emblazoned with a strange dark brown marking that resembles an Eastern dragon, extending to the back of his left hand. His right arm is emblazoned with a symbol of a black star, a mark representative of his True Form. His clothing is a variation of the standard uniform from back all those years ago, made of a sleeveless white leather suit with gold hemming, which he wears unbuttoned in order to show off his toned muscles. Although many assume that he owes his appearance to years of training, he is actually able to adjust his body to any form he wishes. For extra measure, here is what he looks like.
Bio/history/personality: Umino is, as mentioned, a special type of Lucridite ore that comes from the area of Kzixa. The area itself, in fact, is a sentient being; however, it has no kind of personality, just a method through which to preserve itself in extreme conditions. Atmospheric conditions on the planet caused Umino’s terrestrial form to be created from millions of years of pressure, and he was formed as a being with a similar non-existent personality, but characteristics similar to fire due to formation in the volcanic sector of the area. His interactions with those who mistreated him caused him not only to awaken to his self-defence abilities, but also to become vengeful. As time passed, he spent time with beings capable of humanity, some of which were caring and kind, which led him to have human desires – He wants to experience new things, receive praise, make others proud, protect others, and to find true emotions such as love. Despite these traits, however, he still maintains a naturally short temper, vengeful spirit, and brash personality due to his stone type. After his Lord Admiral's death, he became isolated and solemn. He most commonly speaks his native language, Kzixan, but is more than capable of speaking in the human English tongue as well. He is very pacifistic in nature, as killing goes against his Command Prompt.

Umino was originally a special type of Lucridite ore known as Aequoris Lucriditus, which covered the entire seabed of Kzixa, his home area. As most of his life took place under a layer of boiling lava, he could not gather life force or see anything outside of the dense material, making it impossible to learn what was happening around him. However, he eventually manifested an ability known as the Lifetaker Lifegiver Scenario, which enabled him to remotely possess other Lucridite forms - This allowed him to clearly visualize the planet from a different viewpoint.

In the year 7 AD, a group of fifty Seiriyan Commanders came to Kzixa to create a ship from the ore found on the planet's surface. They mined and forged the ore that contained Umino's consciousness from the igneous rock and used it to create a metallic shell before enslaving other, humanoid Lucridites in order to build The Crusader. However, in an attempt to stop the Seiriyans from possessing one of the most destructive weapons in the universe, the Lucridites configured The Crusader so that only another Lucridite could fly the ship. They were also forced to create a five-foot claymore, nicknamed Hai, upon the orders of the Head Commander, Jakuuna.

Realizing that their ship could only be piloted by a Lucridite, Jakuuna sacrificed five of his men, using their Life Force as fuel for the engines, before using their powers to force Umino to manifest a humanoid form. Umino became a tall, tanned young man with spiky red hair wearing a ballroom masquerade, a backless black top and baggy black trousers - While this would later be modified, it is very similar to his current appearance. They forced him to pilot their ship to their every command, whipping him if he refused or performed a task incorrectly.

However, one day, Umino couldn't take any more beating. His body was covered in scars, cuts, and open wounds from the past five years of his torment, and he could barely stand. As the whip held by one of the officers came down, he instinctively grabbed it and channelled his energy through it, incinerating it in mere seconds. He then proceeded to absorb the life force of everyone within The Crusader, including crew members and prisoners, before sinking into an unusual form of hibernation, along with Hai, his sword form. However, this caused him to become unstable and crash land The Crusader on Earth, where he was eventually found by in 1953 by Edgar Nelson, a Professor of Archaeology, and dismantled as part of his research.

Umino was eventually taken out of hibernation by Suzaku Umino, crew member aboard the new ship form, when the latter went into a strange temple and returned without powers that he was supposed to have received While he received no powers, however, it somehow awakened a power within Umino. Umino assisted the crew members in various ways, eventually growing somewhat attached to his Lord Admiral. He desired to impress his Lord Admiral, to make him proud, to gain respect and recognition and, most of all, protect the Lord Admiral, no matter the cost. He eventually found a good friend in Luke, a modified human who became a technician, who would help repair the ship if it was ever needed. Luke found some spare portions of Umino's metal form on board in a storage deck and created the Overlap Mech in order to help him fight alongside the other crew members better.

A while passed, and Umino eventually took over Suzaku's body, having lost his own somehow, and recklessly entered a tournament, purely to impress Lord Admiral. He won his first round with ease, but was confronted by his nightmares shortly afterwards, closely followed by an evil manifestation of his Lord Admiral, the latter of which being enough to completely scramble his data-banks and turn him back into the insanely powerful war machine he was made to be, though only temporarily. After his data was unscrambled, however, he felt that he had completely and utterly failed his Lord Admiral and shocked himself into a Blue Screen of Death. It was only through Luke and Jymaru figuring out that Umino needed to feel like he had a place and the Lord Admiral's encouraging words, along with Lord Admiral holding Umino's hand briefly that they managed to snap him out of his depression. However, he still retained parts of his old personality, which is first shown when he slams Jymaru against a wall for claiming that Umino and his Lord Admiral holding hands momentarily classed as a Yaoi Ship Tease.

Shortly after escaping from the tournament via a portal he had created, Umino began to hear a voice inside his head, referring to him as "child" and telling him to find it. After a long bout of reluctance, he was nearly forced by Suzaku to go and find where this voice was. He located the source, Iris Lucriditus, who told him the "real truth" about Lord Admiral, causing Umino to fall into a Data Scramble, though into a calmer version of his old personality. He trained himself, aiming to one day be able to defeat "the one once called Lord Admiral".

Worried about Umino, Lord Admiral set off to look for him. It didn't take long, as only a few thousand miles away from the Diotoir, Umino was sitting lazily in the middle of space. When his Lord Admiral arrived, Umino stood up and drew Hai, black flames erupting from the blade and threw it at his opponent, thus beginning his barrage of attacks - These attacks continued for quite some time, until he eventually defeated his Lord Admiral. Just as he thought he was about to be killed by his own ship, the Lord Admiral slipped his hand into Umino's and whispered "I'll always be proud of you, friend". This seemed to bring Umino back to his senses, but he didn't have much time to react as Jymaru and her rock slammed into Umino, sending him sprawling away. Still not recognising Jymaru due to being Data Scrambled, Umino launched a barrage of attacks on the unwitting Kamiwane, finishing his onslaught with a Hell's Barrage strong enough to knock the girl unconscious. Shocked, Lord Admiral got up to back away, but Umino fell unconscious into his Lord Admiral's arms, his eyes half-open and his irises black, having shut himself down.

Upon arriving back at the ship with both Jymaru and Umino, the Lord Admiral set to work, desperately attempting to cause Umino's system to reboot. After what seemed like days, Suzaku approached and simply smacked Umino across the face. This was apparently enough to reboot Umino, who instantly shot a death glare at Suzaku.

Umino's mentality was unstable for a while, until he faced Iris once more. She tried to Scramble him again but failed, as Umino now knew she was not to be trusted. He eventually defeated her, but didn't kill her, as it was against his Command Prompt.

A long while after these events, the Lord Admiral died of an illness brought about by old age. Umino had been helping his Lord Admiral every single day after he had gotten old. However, when his Lord Admiral died, something snapped inside of Umino. He very nearly lost his will to live, and still remains solemn to this day. It is believed that he has sat at the grave of his Lord Admiral for the past 300 years.

Name: Youmu Konpaku
Age: 22
Gender: Female
Skill/special power: She is a sword master, fighting using an old katana that has some strange inscription on it. She has ninja-like abilities and is twice as fast as any other human being.
Appearance (picture or detailed description):

Bio/history/personality: Youmu is quite the unknown person. Barely anyone has even seen her. She keeps herself hidden for a reason. It is to protect them. Youmu believes that these being are on earth to kill her, and when they have done that, would go for the entire world. this has to do with what happened several years ago. Her parents were killed by fiends right in front of her. Youmu grabbed a wakizashi and fought the fiends, killing both of them. The death of her parents made her sad, but she showed no expression, standing the the blood of the fiends. She had some scratches back then, but nothing serious. Later, she washed all the blood off of her and ran away from home, taking the wakizashi with her. On a beach she found a katana with an inscription on it. It looked old, but Youmu found it very useful. The inscription even reacting to her holding the blade. Even since that time, Youmu was twice as fast and had begun training, keeping herself alive in any possible way.

It is not that she dislikes humans, it's that she doesn't want them to see her. Youmu would instantly be recognised and people would all start asking questions about her past. Youmu doesn't want this, nor does she want the pity of those she doesn't even know. When travelling, she mostly has her hood covering most of her, often avoiding direct eye contact. She doesn't talk much and can be quickly annoyed, yet she keeps herself perfectly calm. A most remarkable thing of her is, she hates anything that is not from this world. Be it fiends, demons, aliens, vampires or anything else. To her, it must all die.

Epsilon is the orange one. However, his weapons have not yet been upgraded like in the picture. He currently has arms similar to Gamma’s (red), as well as Gamma’s targeting system.

The forgotten remnant. The eternal conflict. Caelum Inferno. The land where angels and demons are cursed to eternal warfare. The land is split into four: Aether, Abyssus, Aecies, and Animi. Residence of Angels, Residence of Demons, Battlefield, and the area of peace. Humans do exist in Animi but they are bystanders and carry out menial tasks. Aether and Abyssus are essentially barracks, preparing for battle mostly. There are residencies but the shops and entertainment facilities only exist in Animi, the Area of peace, the ceasefire zone.

The war has raged on since the start of time and has been doomed to continue until the end of the universe. There are many who don't believe in the war, they are usually killed. The two people we follow for this part are halfbreeds, an asura that is a demon angel and a nephilim that is an angel and a human. The male Asura going by the name 'Angelus Adnihilo' and the female nephilim by the name 'Anima Mortalis'

Angelus Adnihilo belonged to quite a well off family, his father was an angel, his mother was a demon. He rarely battled and dreamt of using a musical instrument to fight. Although mostly outcasted for his origin. His parents quickly became hypocritical of their actions, attempting to force him to marry a thoroughbred. He frequently ran from the one's they chose, after saying, with the utmost respect,
"They just aren't right for me... sorry" but the events passed differently this night.
"Now come on, we need to find you a nice thoroughbred woman" his mother replied
"Maybe I don't want you trying to run my life!"
"How dare you talk to your mother like that! We know what's best for you, and it isn't those broken instruments"
"When I fix it, it will be brilliant, you'll see."
"You will find a nice lady and she will bear a child of one race."
"Whatever you say, I'm off to work on something pointless now"
"But we have so many more pretty girls"
"Don't you mean spoilt brats from rich families that have leather faces due to the amount of makeup they wear?"
"Oh just go and play with your crappy trinket"
"With pleasure". With a grin on his face as he left he began running to a small workshop in the back of a bar where he worked in secret on Shikenkinzoku. He picked up the broken pieces and began working, it was almost done, it just required a small amount more time.

Meanwhile, Anima Mortalis belonged to quite a poor family, constantly attacked by allies for her origin due to the human roots. She always had the most beautiful voice though, even when she was angry. Her mother was an angel, quite highly respected... that is until she slept with a human when she was drunk. It is for this reason that Anima doesn't know her father, he was brutally tortured to death by Anima's mother after she found out Anima was a halfbreed because of a mistake. As many angels as her mother brought home, Anima had eyes for none of them. Her mother brought at least ten every night, and as they would enter the room Anima would say "I have a right to choose for myself, none of these are right for me". And every time her mother would reply
"There’s nothing wrong with them, you're just being picky, you'll never find a man at this rate". But this time, something bloomed inside Anima, a certain... confidence that never existed before as she simply said "At least I didn't get drunk and sleep with somebody random and then have them killed... sorry, my mistake, kill them through torture because of something that was actually my fault". The mother's face contorted as she recoiled from the insult. "How... how dare you talk to me like that! You have no right to comment on that!"
"I'm sorry, did I touch on a nerve? Stop trying to choose a man and let me decide!"
"You... you ungrateful little bitch! After I feed you, clothe you, train you, p-"
"Kill my father because he was human and caused me to be a halfbreed".
"Get out, now".
"With pleasure" Anima walked casually to the bar where she would usually be. She would occasionally hear sounds from the back room but usually ignored them. As she entered, all eyes stared at her as she walked up to the stage with a smile. She never had instrumental, she never needed it because of her voice.

That same voice. The one he had always wanted to put a face to. The one that he hoped he may be able to today. He continued to fit each piece together as he had drawn it. The wires, the safety, everything perfectly designed when he should've been in bed... although this didn't negate the possibility of him hurting himself.

She continued to sing various songs, not being thrown off by the clanking and clattering coming from the mysterious room... not even phased by the occasional swear word. Just running through a list of random songs. Her voice enthralling everybody, they were almost unaware of the lack of instrumental, or they just didn't care. Suddenly a man yelled 'YES!' in triumph from the back room.

Angelus slotted the final piece in and tested everything at a low volume to avoid disturbing the woman. He came to the end of the basic testing, and playing a complex song, upon success, he couldn't help triumphantly punching the air and shouting at the top of his lungs "YES!". He stayed silent for a moment, operatic sounds came from the bar, he instantly recognised the song... but this time he could join in for the instrumental, even if he wasn't asked to, it would still provide a great show. As soon as silence fell, he made his move.

Silence. The worst parts of these songs. Where there is supposed to be instrumental. Suddenly the workshop door opened and a man stepped out. He began picking it up perfectly, not failing a single note. Anima smiled and blushed unnoticeably, this seemed to be the one person whose instrumental could compliment her singing... and she didn't think him to be too bad looking either. The one thing she could see that made her curse in her mind was an angel wing and a demon wing, another halfbreed like her, if they got together her mother wouldn't be happy. But then again, on the other hand, when was she ever happy? The man made his way towards Anima as she began to sing again.

Angelus carefully steps towards the stage. Never missing a beat despite being obviously bemused by the woman that stood in front of him. The spotlight shone down upon her in a suggestive way, singling her out from the crowd in the most generic way possible. There was only one unnerving thing, the one wing sprouting from her left hand side, she was part human... but Angelus didn't care. He had found someone he actually liked. He stepped on stage next to her as the song began to finish. The crowd, completely oblivious of the fact that this wasn't part of the show. Angelus couldn't keep a straight face when looking at her. He had an uncontrollable broad smile across his face as they continued to play.

Eventually the show drew to an end, Angelus ordered two drinks and invited Anima to sit down. She blushed slightly and grinned. Anima pulled the stool out and sat down next to Angelus. "So it was you back there the whole time?"
"Yep, been working on this for the past month while avoiding parents. So it was you singing the whole time?"
"Yep, been doing it for a while to bring some income for me... and to avoid my mum" they both take swigs from their drinks at the same time.
"Name is Angelus Adnihilo, what's yours?"
"Anima Mortalis, so you're from the Adnihilo family, I heard they were pretty well off"
"Yeah, but I get none of it until I have a thoroughbred child with a thoroughbred woman"
"Forgive me, but that sounds hypocritical"
"You are completely correct, and that's why I spend most of my time here. I've never heard of the Mortalis family..."
"I have decided to keep it to keep track of my human heritage, despite how my mother is against it"
"Why would you lose track of it?"
"My mother killed my father"
"Ah, so by 'keep track of' you mean you chose it because there is no living memory of your father"
"You're quite smart to have figured that out, most others can't get it right"
"Wou- nah, I'd better not"
"What? I think I know, but I’d better not" they both scratch their heads in an embarrassedly. Suddenly, a deep voice resonated from behind the bar.
"You shouldn't allow other people to block your happiness, if it is what you want then you should go for it." Anima and Angelus pondered this for a moment before Anima spoke up.
"Do... you want to go somewhere?"
"...sure" they both finish their drinks and leave.

A woman steps from the shadows and quickly slaps the man around the back of the head before quickly whispering "What the hell are you doing!? We're bystanders, we aren't supposed to interfere. You idiot!"
"Perhaps this was supposed to be. Besides, regular bartenders often give relationship advice and stick their nose in where they shouldn't. Haven't you heard that prophecy?"
"It's just lies and bullcrap, there is no such thing and never will be" The man sighs and pulls a book from a bookshelf, opening it perfectly in the centre.
"The halfbreed demon-angel with the multi-instrument, Shikenkinzoku, in hand. The halfbreed human-angel with the perfect voice. They are destined to meet and-"
"I know the prophecy idiot! Just don't interfere any more, it's against the rules of our being here"
"Unless it was supposed to be" the woman just sighs and shakes her head.
"Fine, my turn to be behind bar" the man walks out of the bar, and keeps an eye on Angelus and Anima. Watching them have a great time. This couldn't have any negative consequences... could it? He watched from the distance as they did everything... and then they walked into a hotel and a light on the top floor was turned off along with the curtains being shut. The man smiled "And now we wait"
"Who're you talking to?"
"You think I didn't know, I'm not an idiot, despite how many times you throw the word around"
"So how long until we find out if 'the prophecy is fulfilled'?"
"How long does it usually take for a child to be conceived and born?"
"270 days, namely nine months, give or take."
"Well, we will see how people react"
"What do you mean 'people'?"
"Mostly Anima's mother"
"Ah, that may be a problem"
"We will see how it turns out then"

Angelus and Anima left the hotel, they couldn't believe that they spent the night together, after a single night, they seemed to be perfect for each other. They grinned at each other and embraced. Anima spoke, breaking the silence that was between them "When shall we meet again"
"The next time we meet, I can't make promises of anything, I'll just let it happen as the crow flies"
"What does that mean?"
"I'll see you as life dictates, I never make sure times for anything"
"Oh...o...k? Are you one if those people? You know... That only stays for a night then never speaks again"
"No, I promise we will meet again"
"I trust you, just make sure my trust isn't misplaced" And with that, they part ways to return home.

Angelus slowly opened the door of his house, he had hoped to sneak in unnoticed but realised that that plan wouldn't work the moment he saw his parents' sneering faces. His father began "You never came home last night, where were you?"
"I finished Shikenkinzoku, as planned, it works perfectly"
"Was she pretty?" his mother said simply
"Wai-wha!? What do you mean?"
"Look, son, we aren't stupid, we know you were with a girl last night"
"How do you even know that?"
"Your father and I were following you obviously. You could've figured that out, since the only other option would've been a tracking device"
"So why did you ask?"
"Because it's more fun that way" there is a short silence before his father begins to yell "You utter fool! How could you fall in love with another halfbreed!?"
"Because I did. Besides, does the fact that you condemn halfbreeds mean that you condemn me too?"
"Don't speak to us like that!"
"Don't avoid the question"
"Of course we love you, we just want you to meet a nice thoroughbred"
"No. You created me, I carve my own path through life. Besides isn't it better for me to fall in love with someone like me?" Angelus' parents just smile at each other and his father says "We raised you well"
"What?"
"Unwavering will. You know what you want and you don't falter in your any way with any choice"
"But that was-"
"It passively developed in you based on how we treated you"
"O...k..."
"So, did you have fun"
"What do you mean by that?" his dad just winked and smiled. His mother said
"Blatantly obvious isn't it? Besides, it kind of works, you getting together with another halfbreed, even if she is a different halfbreed to you"
His dad had the final word by saying "Time for work"

As Anima entered the house she felt a blunt force to the right side of her face and she was thrown across the room. Her mother then began to screech loudly, slamming the door loudly. "Don't stay out all night, especially with a horrible half breed like that bastard child Angelus, or any of those idiots from the Adnihilo family. You should find a nice thoroughbred angel"
"In all fairness, you have no right to attempt to control my life, and also can't control my love"
"I- what!? Did you just say 'love'!?"
"Yes, and?"
"You... Love Angelus?
"Yes" Anima's mother smacks Anima in the face several times.
"You. Do. Not. Do. Anything. Without. My. Consent." The hits land perfectly as each word is said. "I forbid you from seeing him"
"You can't. You can't lock me in here, by law"
"I can do whatever the hell I like"
"You were the one who miscegenated in the first place, thus bringing me into existence, it is hypocritical to say that I can't"
"I what?"
"Bred between races"
"Were you drunk?"
"No"
"You were weren't you?"
"No"
"He got you drunk and had his way with you, didn't he?"
"No, I was completely sober and decided what I wanted"
"You were drunk!"

After a few weeks, Anima began to notice something strange. She was vomiting in the morning, and her stomach was getting slightly larger. She was pregnant. Her mother stood in the doorway "So he got you drunk and now you're pregnant"
"I wasn't drunk, and I am glad I am pregnant" as Anima left the house, an angelic man watched from the rooftops before flying away.

Angelus performed the main morning routine. His dad walked into the house. "Guess what Angelus"
"What?"
"You're gonna be a dad, Anima is pregnant"
"How do you know?"
"I saw her, she's going to that bar. Go see her"
"Errm... ok... small talk works wonders, you should try it some time" his parents just laughed. Angelus left the house and sprinted to the bar, not believing he could really be about to be a father.

Angelus entered the bar, it was about midday so it was easy to notice Anima. She was the depressed looking one drinking heavily sat directly at the centre of the bar. See also: the one with one white wing. Angelus snuck up behind Anima and hugged her from behind. "How's it going?" Anima burst into tears, turned around and buried her head into Angelus' chest.
"I'm pregnant!"
"I'm sorry..."
"Not that, it's my mum, she disapproves, she hits me, she pretends I was drunk she...she" Anima begins bawling loudly, soaking Angelus' chest with tears, and some drool.
"It's ok, I'm here, I will always be here for you"
"You...you mean it"
"You doubted me?"
"No.. It’s just that... are you sure?"
"Of course, if I'm gonna be a father, I don't want anything to stop that, I don't want the one I love to be sad either. Your mother's word is not final, she is-"
"A hate-filled, biased, bigoted, racist, angry, violent, idiotic, presumptuous bitch!"
"I s'pose that's the blunt way to put it. All I was gonna say was that she was completely wrong about me. But releasing anger is good for you"
"You... aren't joking in any way?"
"I promised you we'd meet again and here I am. I promise I will be a good father, and I promise I will always be here for you I-" before Angelus could finish, he had a pair of lips pressed against his as Anima also reciprocated the hug.

Then next eight and a bit months passed quite fast due to the laws allowing pregnant women and the genetic father-to-be to be in the safe zone until the child is born. Angelus carried Anima to the local hospital as fast as possible. Flying through the air, avoiding excessive movement. In a flash there was a man and a woman either side of him, his parents. They reached the hospital and burst in. Before they could say anything, a doctor said "Put her onto the stretcher, go to room 101" Angelus did as told and moved with it to the room. The perfectly clean room was tidy and well laid out. A single bed with enough space for families to be there. Anima was placed on the bed and began pushing hard. Out of the shadows came a woman. "Why wasn't I invited?" she grinned evilly. Angelus' parents looked horrified and yell "Senbi!?" in unison
"Glad to see me"
"Not really, but you are as much a part of this as us, so you are legally allowed I suppose"
"What's the matter? Aren't you happy to see me, Primoris?" She said seductively Angelus spoke out
"Wait, you two know each other?"
"Yes... unfortunately..."
"Your father chose a demon over me"
"I would've done so too" Senbi's eye twitched at the blatant disrespect.

One final push and the child came to be. Anima showed great fatigue as Angelus held it in his arms with a smile. Senbi's eyes became filled with rage. "It's a thirdbreed! It's an abomination! It must die!" Angelus took on a defensive stance, protecting the child with his wings. "You want to harm this child, you go through me"
"With pleasure, I always hated you anyway!" a psychopathic grin spread across Senbi's face as she summoned her spear and raised it high. Anima let out a weak "No" and tried to raise her hand. Angelus lowered his head to protect the child more. He closed his eyes and awaited death. As Senbi swung the spear down, a deep harmonica note resonated through the small room. Senbi shot to the other end of the room, bound to the wall by ethereal shackles and rope. Out of the shadowed end of the room stepped a man, the bartender. "Let me go, bystander! You're breaking the law by interfering"
"No I'm not. You broke rule 34 of the safe zone, no violence is to take place. Rule 35 states that if anyone is to break this rule and either commit an act of violence, or is about to, then someone, including humans, may interfere by incapacitating the violator, or killing them, as the situation dictates. You were about to attack this man, therefore you were in violation of the law, therefore I am allowed to do what I did" the man smiled as well as doing a 'two fingered salute' to Senbi. "Is everyone alright?" Angelus raises his head, spreads his wings, and loosens his grip on the child. "Yes, thank you." Angelus turns to Anima "What should we call him then?"
"Ventus... Adnihilo" Anima gasps. A venomous voice yells "That's a rubbish name!"
"I missed... the part... where you had... a say"
"When I get down, I will tear that abomination in two and impale that opportunistic idiot right through his head!"
"Not here you won't. Upon one person attacking another, anyone is allowed to restrain the attacker. So everyone would be against you before you got a chance" Senbi hissed several curses before yelling
"Shut up, bystander"
"Oh, I-am-so-o-ffended" he said sarcastically "But, now you've said that, I am obliged to send you away. Under rule 63 of the safe zone, due to constant violent outbursts and threatening to attack upon release, I hereby force you to go back to where you came from" he placed a small circle on the base of Senbi's neck and pressed a button. Senbi screamed yet more curses as she was enveloped in light. Just before she disappeared she yelled one final thing "I will get you for this, I will kill the three of you!"
"Well, she's the worst mother ever, no offence"
"None... taken..." Angelus looked deep in thought before saying
"Did you say Ventus Adnihilo?"
"... Yes"
"Why is he taking my name?"
"Because... I... like it"
"How about Ventus Mortalis Adnihilo?"
"That's... perfect" Anima reached out for the child, Angelus placed him in Anima's arms.
"You know,... she... was... wrong... about... you. You... protected... him... with... your life. Isn't... he... beautiful?"
"He sure is" Anima falls asleep, cradling Ventus in her arms. Angelus' dad just says "Let her sleep, she's tired and deserves it. I say we wait here. It'll be easier than leaving then coming back"
"I wouldn't want to leave her side anyway" Angelus smiled, hiding how distraught he was that she would have actually killed a newborn child. He examined Ventus, "He is a thirdbreed, one angel wing, one demon, and he is part human" the man smiled and took his leave, disappearing in a flash of light, leaving Angelus, his parents, Anima, and Ventus in peace.

The man walked up to the woman and poked her "I was right, a thirdbreed child has been born"
"Are you sure he is the one in the prophecy?"
"Well, I'll be damned if there is another thirdbreed child anywhere near"
"Good point. How long do we have to wait now?"
"As I remember it was between sixteen and eighteen years"
"Great, so this war will continue until then"
"If the prophecy is wrong, then it will continue long after"
"We can only hope. So, what happens next?"
"A lot of things happen, read the book if you wanna find out, although I'm pretty sure you will hear the next part"

Anima regains consciousness, Ventus still asleep. She slowly got out of the bed, still cradling Ventus. "Where do we go then?
"I don't know... rule 10 states that I can't enter angel realm, and you can't enter the demon realm. So I suppose we need to get married if that rule is to be overwritten, or we have to live in the safe zone"
"Nah, by rule 74, people who aren't human aren't allowed to live in the safe zone." they both sigh
"We should have thought this through"
"What about going to another remnant?"
"That sounds like a great idea." two angels and two demons appear in front of the group. One of them says
"Don't mean to rain on your parade, but Senbi is pretty much mounting a full assault, the moment you leave, you will be attacked"
"It's ok, we can get out of here without even touching the battlefield"
"'fraid not, she's shut down the teleporters. We need to get you out of the remnant"
"If it's a fight she wants, then I shall bring it to her!"
"She does have 200 other angels behind her, you really think you can take her?"
"You won't wanna miss this. And besides, you don't wanna miss saying goodbye"
"Since when did you get so arrogant, Angelus?"
"Since I decided that I will do anything to protect Ventus, even if it means using more power than Shikenkinzoku normally can..."

They begin to the battlefield. Angelus holds Ventus, protecting him from damage with his wings. They begin sprinting to the exit, dodging stray blasts, most enemies distracted by others. The exit is in sight, but suddenly, a white flash, and Senbi appears.
"Leaving without saying goodbye? I am disappointed, I thought I taught you better than that" she grins sadistically as several angels appear around her. Anima opened with several long, loud, harmonious notes that caused no harm to the enemy but they could feel something wrong, despite not knowing what it is.

Angelus calmly held Shikenkinzoku "Release lock one, release lock two. Restriction thirteen released. Shikenkinzoku, form three!" a bright light shone from the instrument as it changed form completely. Angelus played a deep resonating chord that emanated power, it channelled through his and Anima's bodies. "You will not escape. Nothing will stand in our way" there was a certain sorrow in his voice as he said this. He began to play the instrumental for through the fire and flames four times, the moment the first note was played, the angels were instantly struck with fear as they knew what was coming.

All 200 enemies essentially disintegrated as the summoned fire enveloped them. The light faded from Shikenkinzoku and Angelus checked on Ventus who was still fast asleep. Angelus brushed the hair out of his eye. "Shall we go then?" a venomous voice behind them hissed
"Don't ignore me!"
"If we can kill 200 people without breaking a sweat, how quickly can we beat you?" there were four blade slashes in a perfect asterisk shape and Senbi fell to the floor, badly injured.
"You aren't stealing all of the fun" one of the demons said. Senbi screeched and charged. Ethereal ropes sprouted from the ground and caught her arms and legs, their grip tightened. Angelus' father spoke "Go, now. We will settle things here" Angelus and Anima just nodded and ran out of the remnant.

The woman cringed at the sheer sound of the yelling and cursing "I thought you were exaggerating, but I see that I was mistaken"
"You're mistaken a lot" the man began to walk away
"Wait, where are you going?"
"With them obviously"
"Is that allowed?"
"Read the book, you will see" and with that, the man dropped a small circle which created a white gate. "See you in many years time"
"About how many?"
"Fourteen, I think" he stepped through the gate, knowing exactly where he was going. The woman seemed almost depressed to see him go. The white gate shut fully, hiding him from her sight. She walked away, with what looked like tears in her eyes.

Angelus and Anima stepped through the gate into a quiet town, carrying Ventus. Angelus began by saying "So what do we do first?"
"I suppose we find a house and live there, raising Ventus. Not sure what else..."
"Well, eventually he will be old enough and will probably want some adventure"
"So this is pretty much the end of the story" Behind them, a man said "No, this is only the beginning. Senbi will continue to track you. The only way to avoid detection is to change names, and change appearance"
"How do we change appearance?"
"It's called a 'cloak', it conceals your true self from scans and the like"
"So basically, it stops the wings from being visible?"
"Yep"
"Why do we need to change names?"
"How many people do you know called Angelus, who is with a girl called Anima, who has a child called Ventus?"
"Good point. So how about if I'm called... Shigo"
"I'll be called... errm... how about... Shinrei?"
"Nice. So what should we call Ventus?"
"How about Fuushin?"
"Nice" The man realised a slight mistake, they hadn't thought of a surname
"You do realise that you need a surname right? It needs to be unified between you, namely one surname for all three of you"
"How about Masamura?"
"Sounds good"
"Now for the cloak, you can have one that conceals you but still allows flight, or one that conceals but doesn't allow flight, but this will also mean that there is virtually no chance of being detected"
"'Virtually'?"
"Nothing is foolproof"
"Good point. I think that'd be the best option"
"Indeed" the man places a small square on Shigo's left hand, one on Shinrei's right hand, and one on Fuushin's forehead. Fuushin wriggled slightly in discomfort before settling down again. The man also hands a document and a pair of keys to Shigo. "The deed to a house and the keys to said house. It should cater to your needs"
"Why're you helping us?"
"Time will hold the answer to that, but I am not allowed to say. Also, for your information, your house is right next to a school and no more than a few blocks from my house in this remnant. Welcome to your new life. The house is pre-furnished so don't worry"
"Thank you, but we don't even know your name"
"Animadverto"
"Quite a mouthful"
"Try saying it when you're drunk"
"I will... maybe when he's older though"
"You've got a house to settle into, and I've got something I need to do, so see you later"
"Bye"

The family entered their new house, it was quite large, at least three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a kitchen, a living room, and several empty rooms, as well as lots of storage space, and a sort of extension of the house which seemed to be a dojo or something like that. Shigo placed Shikenkinzoku on the sofa and Fuushin next to it before admiring the house. "This is insane"
"I think that the only thing that can go wrong for Ve- Fuushin now is us, until his school years, we are the only things that can go wrong" they looked over at their sleeping child. He had slid up the sofa and was now embracing Shikenkinzoku and sucking the thumb on his right hand. "He looks so peaceful"
"Too bad when he wakes up he will probably start crying insanely loudly and start shredding our eardrums with it"
"I hope he doesn't bite too hard..."
"I'm pretty sure they only bite until milk starts flowing, if they bite at all..."

Fuushin's eyes flutter open, an instant reflex reaction forces him to cry loudly. But the cry is not painful to the ears but somehow gentle despite the feelings of the child. "I think we know where he got his voice from then" Shigo smiles. Shinrei picks up their child and holds him near her chest. Fuushin, once again through reflex action, begins suckling.

The seven years seamlessly pass. Fuushin is in the hospital after the tenth majorly strained tendon. The doctor, with a serious look on his face stared Shigo straight in the eyes. “Do you have any idea how this could’ve happened?”
“No”
“This is the tenth time now, I just thought that you may know”
“I have no clue as to what is causing it”
“Ok, it should be perfectly fine now... again”
“Thanks, doctor. What do you say Fuushin?”
“Thank you” They began to exit the hospital and Shigo whispered to Anima “I may have a speculation as to what caused this to happen”
“What?” He just taps the side of his nose three times and smiles. They entered the house and Shigo sat down, looking how he always did, casual, calm, but unbeknownst to anyone else, he was watching Fuushin the whole time. Fuushin left, Shigo followed, undetected. Into the extension of the house, where Shikenkinzoku was held. Shigo smirked and muttered under his breath “You sneaky bastard” Fuushin picked up Shikenkinzoku and held it, attempting to stretch everything so it would work properly. “You’re holding it wrong” Fuushin’s head snapped up and he saw his father leaning on a pillar. “You need to hold it like this” he took the instrument off of his son and showed him the proper way to hold it “You see, the middle finger is supposed to be here, index finger and thumb here, third finger and little finger here. It doesn’t seem natural, but it is essentially a built in defence system that causes people to badly injure their tendons, in a few cases they were split or severed, and in one very unfortunate case, the poor, poor bloke’s tendon completely disintegrated.”
“You aren’t angry then?”
“Hell no, you had to learn at some point, I am a bit pissed that you didn’t tell me, but most children attempt things on their own first, it’s only natural for you to attempt to figure things out for yourself”
“So did you have this problem?”
“God no, I was the one who built the thing out of scrap”
“You...built this?"
“Yep, I even built the restrictions that are in place”
“Restrictions?”
“I’ll teach you. First thing is a rudimentary chord that grants power, known as the empowering chord, in this restriction, it can only be used once every other turn. Hold it like this, these are the keyboard notes, the drums to hit, the position of the bass note slider, the position of the keyboard not slider, and the main guitar chord” He strums the chord himself “See? Now you try” Fuushin takes grip of the instrument in the way shown he strums “That it?” the bass note slider is too far right and the keyboard note slider is too far left. Shigo moves Fuushin’s hand into the correct position “Now try” Fuushin strums “Perfect. Now do it without me correcting you” He smirks as Fuushin resets the position, and repeats it perfectly “Nice. Now read this sheet music and follow it perfectly” Fuushin’s eyes scan the sheet and he plays the music, a wall of sound appears in front of him “Assonance, a sturdy wall of sound, used to protect allies as well as yourself. Play that another three times” Fuushin flawlessly does so “A nigh on impenetrable wall of sound, stacked for greater effect. Now for something a little harder, this” Fuushin scans the sheet
“But this would sound terrible, completely out of sync, out of harmony, this is essentially torture”
“Dissonance, a masterfully played piece of crap, under the right conditions, it does a lot of damage, now play” Fuushin does as told and cringes as each chord is played
“Ugh! That was hateful, it is painful to play, especially when you know that you can do better”
“You’ll get used to it. That’s enough for today, if you want, you can play some random music, but nearly none of it does damage unless you have no restrictions”
“On the instrument?”
“On the world”
“What do you mean?”
“You will see one day”

That night, after a long days training, everyone had gone to bed. Shigo said to Shinrei “You know, I was right”
“You never did say what you thought”
“Shikenkinzoku”
“He was trying to learn by himself?”
“Yup. So this is another demon part of himself. The voice of an angel, the playing speed of a demon.” and then... well... the rest isn’t really suitable for description... the only word for it is ‘boomchikawowow’

The next seven years passed unnoticeably too, training was going well, and so was school, apparently ‘the best music school in the remnant’ for that past four years Fuushin had been allowed to take Shikenkinzoku and use that. He had been prevailing at every front and was much ahead of everyone else his age, and this was four years beforehand, when he was ten. He was already at the end of the final year of the school, despite being very young. This was frowned upon with most people. He had made a few friends, and a few people did look up to him, but this was overpowered by the sheer number of haters, he always put them to rest the moment they attacked. In fact, as this despcription of a timeskip was being said, he had already dispatched of five oth- six others. He cockily said “I can tell you where you are going wrong. Your attacks, while powerful, are much too inaccurate, or much too weak that I can bat them away with a single wall of sound. Well, it’s been fun, but now I must take my leave” he took a respectful bow, and left under the sneering eyes of one half of the crowd, and the cheering yells of the other side. Fuushin just smirked cockily as he began to walk home, ready for his next stage of training, the final stage. He heard a woman scream, instantly knowing who, Aurora, the first person to actually accept him as someone in the school, rather than just some guy who was too good and therefore showed everyone up. She actually respected him, and he found her attractive. Another scream, pain, torture, terror, the only meanings of the pitch of the voice. He ran as fast as he could towards the sound, what he saw as he rounded the corner was terror incarnate, a legendary monster that most people denied the existence of. But it was undeniable; this was a Negligente Symphony, almost the equivalent of a god. Around it lay several bodies of many symphonies and yet more came, relentless attacks from all fronts. In the centre of it all stood a single girl, grazed, battle scared, protecting the remnant as much as possible. Moderately bleeding, leaning over one side, obviously for support. She slowly raised the ocarina to her lips and began to play a soothing lullaby. Despite her injuries, her notes never faltered. All enemies fell into a deep slumber as she fell to her knees. She began to play another tune; a green light enveloped her as her wounds were healed. Out of energy, she fell forwards; Fuushin caught her before she hit the ground. “Wh-wh... what’re you... doing here?”
“I heard you scream”
“So you thought you’d come save the damsel in distress!? Typical... ma-“
“I thought I would come see what was happening. Everyone knows you are impossibly skilled which means for you to be in pain, or in trouble would mean nobody could help”
“Flattery... get you... nowhere...”
“Truth gets you through life”
“There is nothing you can do, I have no stamina, I am as good as dead”
“No”
“If I leave now then the entire remnant will be destroyed by that. I still have one move left, it will kill both me, and the creature”
“I won’t let you”
“Fool. Don’t come to me, run away... this is something I must do... I... I’m sorry”
“I won’t let you” tears began to collect in Fuushin’s eyes “No” there was a certain stubbornness in his voice even through the sadness.
“And so the boy is reduced to tears and the girl is gonna die.” a man stood behind the creature, an evil smirk on his face. He held a simple, unimaginative guitar in his hand “Can’t you see? It’s over. Either way you lose”
“You coward, Leon, hiding behind a creature like this”
“I ain’t hiding, I contracted with it, I summoned it, simple as”
“You would threaten an entire remnant just to get at us. You childish motherf-“
“You may think... you have control... but you don’t, once it’s done with me... it will destroy everything, you sold your soul... and didn’t read the fine print... fool... You’d better run too... this move requires no stamina... I pay in blood to kill all in the battlefield... the forbidden move... Aeternus Vitulamen...”
“We can beat it without that”
“No you can’t, she has no stamina, you are weak”
“I still kicked your sorry ass to the ground several times”
“Let me rephrase that, you are too weak to beat this, especially if she is having trouble”
“I’m afraid there is no other way” Aurora broke Fuushin’s grip and put the ocarina to her mouth. Leon grinned sadistically.
“I was hoping to save this, but I guess even presents must be used at some point” Fuushin grabbed the ocarina before Aurora played any notes and took a twig from his right hand pocket.
“A Twig” Leon guffawed and coughed a lot “That will do you no good”
“You utter, utter pillock” Fuushin threw it into the air and Aurora and Fuushin were surrounded by a holy, rejuvenating light. The grazes on Aurora’s skin faded and the cuts healed, the limp disappeared and she felt full of energy as her stamina was restored.

Aurora smiled “You really don’t give up, do you?”
“I would never give up on you” Aurora smiled and blushed. Fuushin played a very powerful chord “Let’s kill this thing and make Leon pay”
“How could we make him pay?”
“He broke the law”
“Ah, good point” Fuushin masterfully played inharmonious notes, they tore into all enemies
“Strange, it shouldn’t be hurting all enemies...”
“It’s an additional effect to my lullaby, it includes share the pain”
“Awesome” The notes caused death to several enemies too “Power increase?”
“Indeed” All that stood at the end of the onslaught of notes was the Negligente Symphony.
“You ain’t killing it while it sleeps” Leon plays several chords and a blue light envelopes the huge symphony, its eyes snap open and it roars loudly
“That’s just perfect” Aurora said as Leon smirked callously. Suddenly several hundred notes began to play as the entire school leapt from the buildings. The notes tore into the symphony’s skin causing green sludge to pour out. Some notes created fire, others ice, others several more. The symphony screeched loudly sending out a shockwave knocking everybody to the ground, apart from Fuushin and Aurora who dodged it with skill. All of the students were rendered unconscious by a second shockwave knocking them into sides of buildings. The Negligente Symphony took a hulking right swipe at Fuushin, he was pushed out of the way by Aurora who took the attack in his place, losing stamina as well as a hefty amount of life. She struggled back to her feet. Obviously weakened, Aurora decided to finish it as fast as possible as she knew that another swipe like that would drain her completely. She began to play an easily recognisable song, one which consisted of all elements. Multiple elemental beams, blades, and orbs clashed into the enemy as Fuushin joined in by playing fury of the storm. The Negligente Symphony pretty much imploded as it disappeared through a void. Aurora stood in front of Leon and slapped him hard “You moron, releasing a creature that powerful into the remnant. And for what?”
“So it’d kill you and send Fuushin into a major depression spiral which would then perhaps cause suicide but would also cause his musical skill to lapse and he would be sent down to where he belongs rather than being several years ahead”
“That’s just foolish and selfish”
“You shouldn’t have beaten it, I can still beat you”
“How?”
“You’ll see” he smiles evilly. Aurora and Fuushin turned away and began to leave together. Unbeknownst to them, behind them, Leon had changed to a forbidden weapon. It would temporarily summon an ethereal Negligente Symphony. He used the weapon and a clear, spirit form of a Negligente Symphony appeared, it charged at Fuushin. Aurora pushed him out of the way and took the full force of the blow, several times more powerful than from a regular Negligente Symphony, too much for one person to take. She fell to her knees, then forward. Her head collided hard with the floor, but she was dead before then. Leon cackled as Fuushin growled. “You bastard. You opportunistic screwed up, sonofa-“
“Now, now, insults will get you nowhere” he laughed. Fuushin charged, half way across the battlefield a Black and White aura surrounded him. The cloak shattered and revealed his wings. “Die!” Fuushin began beating Leon around the head several times with Shikenkinzoku, relentlessly, one hit after another.
“What. Are. You?” an eye turned black, several cuts appeared on Leon’s skin with the blunt force and bladed edge. As Leon was helplessly sprawled on the floor, Fuushin seemed to be aiming for the final blow, but instead dug the instrument into the ground next to Leon. “Coward. Deal the final blow. Finish what you started”
“That would make me no better than you... I just can’t deal with her death... why did you kill her!? Why!? Why...?” Fuushin was reduced to tears as he buried his face in his hands “Why...?” Fuushin kicked Leon in the head and left the unconscious man to whatever fate had in store and continued sorrowfully home, tears cascading down his cheeks, eyes extremely bloodshot, broken breathing. Meanwhile, from the shadows watched a woman, Aurora who had substituted away just in time. “I really thought Fuushin would kill him, but he showed restrain... even when his anger got the better of him he could control it... but his cloak has been broken”
“You ok?” Animadverto stepped up next to her “So he broke cloak?”
“Yeah...yeah...”
“How long will you let him think you are dead?”
“I don’t know...”
“Almost time for us to return anyway...”
“What do you mean?”
“This will end shortly, you may as well go back... and give Veritas my regards, and tell her I will be home soon please”
“How long until I see him again...”
“About two years. You-“
“Do you really need to ask?”
“Good point”
“Is it written for that to happen?”
“It is written for him to actually find someone, whether that someone is you is something else, it is unknown until it is reached”
“Does he-“
“Yes”
“Why do I have to deceive him?”
“What do you mean?”
“He believes me to be dead, and yet I must-“
“It is part of his path in life, part of what will make him what he will be. Your ‘death’ was necessary to happen.”
“I just don’t see it”
“You will see it”
“Very well, I’ll take your word for it, but I am still displeased with causing him unnecessary grief... so it wasn’t actually a decision of how long I would let him think I’m dead...”
“It is very difficult to understand the actions that make a man. Even the slightest different action can alter their later personality. A single encounter, a single action, a single thought, all can alter a person”
“I’ll see you later” she smiled weakly, almost as if she regretted doing something, or not doing something as the case may be. She opened a white gate and stepped through.
“Goodbye” the gate snapped shut and disappeared. “Almost time for the finale, I’d better get ready” Animadverto began to walk home “Too bad she had to fake her own death... also too bad that Leon kid wasn’t actually in on anything and actually did want her dead... meh” He realised he had started to mutter to himself under his breath and began to walk in silence.

A sniffling Fuushin entered his home, still struggling to breath, still with streaming, bloodshot eyes, he coughed slightly. “Why’re you crying, are you hurt” His father’s voice began
“No... well slightly, but that’s not why...”
“Why then?”
“Aurora’s dead” both of his parents gasped
“Small talk works wonders, you should try it some time” Fuushin sniffed
“Well what would you have me say?”
“Good point. How did she die?”
“Leon killed her, a cheap shot while her back was turned” it was then that his parents noticed his wings were out
“How did you break your cloak?”
“I would guess my severe rage broke it”
“He should’ve known that when you get angry people should run. It’s difficult to anger you, so when you do... yeah. So is he-“
“No, I didn’t kill him, I’m better than that”
“What actually happened”
“Leon summoned a Negligente Symphony, Aurora fought hard against it but was weakening fast and almost used a sacrificial attack, but before she did so, I used my miracle twig, we began to beat it up, lots of students appeared and helped out before being easily knocked unconscious, Aurora took a blow for me, Aurora used Carmen Elementum, the creature was utterly annihilated, we began to walk away, Leon used a forbidden weapon temporarily summoning an ethereal Negligente Symphony, Aurora took the blow for me again, and died doing so.”
”Very nice, brief description. Will you be ok for training?”
“I should be... if... if I were better then... maybe I could have saved her... maybe”

“Ok... you do know that training is nearly finished, just one more thing left to master, then a review”
“Sounds good” Fuushin and his Shigo began towards the training area.

In Senbi’s main base of operations, she had heard good news. “You’ll love this, Senbi. A blip on the tracker, he revealed himself.”
“Which remnant?”
“We don’t know yet, we are still tracking, the cloak is still providing moderate protection even upon failiure”
“Work faster damn you! It has been fourteen years, that abomination has been alive for fourteen years! I should’ve killed that bastard when I had the chance”
“Is he actually a bastard, or are you misusing the term in the generic fashion?”
“He is actually a bastard; Anima and Angelus were not married when he was born”
“Ah, good to know, I hate people who misuse technical terminology such as that”
“About how long will decryption etc. take?”
“Round about ten hours”
“Ten hours!?”
“Oh, now it’s five, two day, half an hour, two hundred and fifty eight hours, ah, here we go, three hours. Lousy predictive timing system”
“Three hours then?”
“Should be”
“I can wait that long”
“You’re gonna have to, since you will need a perfect position so as to not reveal your true intentions”
“I’m not going”
“What? I thought you were...”
“Nah, I’m sending someone, I don’t want the blood of a mutant, an exploitive halfbreed, and a stupid halfbreed”
“You would say that about your own daughter!?”
“The moment she left, I disowned her, she is no longer my daughter, and as far as I’m concerned, she never was”
“So what will you do?”
“Simple, hire an assassin, I’ll get right on it now” She begins to walk away, out of her main base. At a back alley of a tavern, a hooded man stroking the long barrel of a forbidden gun waited.
“You’re late, I don’t like waiting”
“I’m the one paying you, so you will wait”
“So who do I need to kill?” A red eye glinted from inside the hood
“Anima, Angelus, and Ventus”
“Location?”
“To be confirmed, we will send it to you upon discovery”
“So why hire me now”
“I hear you people are hard to track, and extremely popular, I didn’t want you being hired before I had a chance to”
“Reason noted. Reasons for wishing death upon another living person?”
“Ventus is an abomination. Anima is an inept halfbreed. Angelus exploited my former daughter by inebriating her with alcohol and having his way with her”
“Reason: ‘Petty personal grudge’ noted.”
“Hey, you can’t say that”
“Just did”
“You- I-” Senbi growled and sneered at the assassin.

“Now, you see, you charge energy into Shikenkinzoku and it unlocks new potential. To heal, to protect, these are the only reasons for use of these abilities. We will start with healing, the potency of this is based on difference between current and maximum stamina multiplied by two. Try it; your mother has half of her stamina left and a quarter of her health. Use the first part of the inhuman riff, the unfinished melody” Fuushin began to play, as he did, a green light enveloped everyone, of course, this had no effect on anyone bar Shinrei. She smiled
“You have been training him well”
“It’s not over yet. Part two gives protection of allies, but not of self. It defends all allies by thirty multiplied by the number of enemies on the battlefield. Of course this is strictly down to restriction, at second form, Ancile will reflect some of the attack and it just goes further and further. Go” Fuushin’s hands began to move so fast they blurred slightly. A large wall of sound appeared around Shigo and Shinrei. “Awesome, now for this final part, I must ask you to play Fury of the Storm and Through the Fire and Flames first. It is a requirement for the final part of the restricted form” Fuushin did as told, summoning the blades of wind and the wall of fire. For the third part of the inhuman riff, his hand became a complete blur, unable to be made out. A large light shot into Shikenkinzoku and it transformed into a slender blade. The blade shine with a holy light, it curved slightly at the top. A legendary blade, one of great strength, but only when targeting; Masamune, the holy blade... of course this is a severely weakened and restricted version “You can summon it then. That is all I know, the rest can come passively to you”
“Wait, what, what do you mean”
“The rest is about removing restriction, but that can only be done under certain circumstances, and when they come then your subconscious will take over. I have experienced this, and therefore I know”
“Thank you. When you first caught me at the age of seven I thought you were going to shout at me and punish me for what I did”
“Why, you didn’t disobey me”
“By the mind of a seven year old, it was restricted; I was disallowed from using this because it was hidden”
“It wasn’t hidden, it was stored, I had no more use for it. And, since from birth you used it as a teddy bear-”
“Dad, don’t bring stuff like that up, it’s embarrassing” Fuushin scratched the back of his head.

“Singer’s Alley!” the man yelled in triumph.
“Really, send him there at once”
“They changed their names too. Shigo, Shinrei, and Fuushin”
“Fuushin is a rubbish name, there are so many better names than that”
“Well... I like it”
“Me too”

“Everyone’s entitled to their opinion”
“I should punish you for insolence, but I have more pressing issues at hand, more preparations”
“What?”
“Not for you to know... although it could really be called backup, a contingency plan”
“You assume the failure of a man you do not know”

“So why don’t you go yourself?”

“To who or what?”
“...I cannot disclose that information... goodbye” Senbi walks out of her base, adamant that they will die tonight. She doesn’t know why she assumes the man will fail in some way, but the contingency plan is infallible, the greatest technological advancement, but you will find out more on that later. Also let it be known that Senbi is a lazy coward, hence why she doesn’t go herself.

They stand in silence, mourning the death of Aurora, life cut short. A basic headstone carefully inserted into the soil. Fuushin and several other students stood at the ceremony. Tears stream down their faces, many of them attempt to console Fuushin who obviously has taken it harder than everyone else. He just stands there in silence, in shock, oblivious to all others. He saw her smiling, dancing in front of him. A mirage? A ghost? He did not know. He buried his head his hands. Evening descended upon the remnant, Fuushin still stood beside the grave. “Don’t blame yourself” Fuushin turned around quickly and saw Aurora again
“Who am I to blame, it’s my fault you died... you died protecting me...”
“You cannot be held responsible, Leon can, but you can’t”
“I can, easily”
“You cannot apportion full blame to yourself, which is what you are trying to do”
“What’s the use? Nothing can change the facts”
“I actually came to visit you to play a song with you one last time, but if that’s how you’re gonna be then I suppose I should just go”
“No, wait!” Fuushin reached out, Aurora stuck her tongue out and laughed. She picked up her Ocarina and began playing a slow melody. Fuushin closed his eyes, the tears still flowing. He played along with the melody. A deep resonating bass, a slow melodic lead, a quiet, medium tempo drum beat and very slow keyboard chords. As the song drew to a close, Aurora began to speak "I-" she was quickly cut off. Still upset, Fuushin took the short walk home.

"Dammit, interference! Why does everything fail when you try to say important things?"
"It's just the way life happens. Things usually conspire against you so you feel a lot better when they actually go right. I should know"
"I almost forgot, Animadverto says hi, and that he should return soon"

"Senbi has probably found us by now. She has most likely sent someone"
"That was fourteen years ago, are you sure she will still be after us?"
"I know she's your mother but she is a crazy-"
"Legally, I am no longer her daughter, she disowned me, I have it in legal documentation"
"I wonder how my parents are getting on, I wonder if Senbi ha-" Fuushin enters and they fall silent "How're you holding up?"
"I'll survive"
"How about playing some music in the training area?"
"Sure, it might take my mind off it... if only for a little while..." the family go to the training area and Fuushin begins to play iris by the googoo dolls. The moonlight shines brightly through the clear roof as Fuushin continues to sorrowfully play. A shadow flashes behind Fuushin's parents, him being oblivious due to his eyes being closed. The shadow makes little to no sound as it flashes by, making its way to the upper levels. Fuushin's parents sense their impending doom and embrace their child for one last time. The man takes aim through the scope. Fuushin reciprocates the hug believing it to be one of consolidation. The man pulls the trigger of the forbidden weapon and a pitch black bullet spins out of the barrel, instantaneous death upon all who oppose the user for a blood price of course. Shinrei sings a single high pitched note and Fuushin is surrounded in a soft white light. Heaven's divide, a sacrificial move used to protect someone, and leave them powerful enough to defend themselves, at the cost of the user's life, of course, but since they would die anyway, she didn't really care. Fuushin felt his parents go limp. "No... no..." he began in denial "I don't want you to die... please, no"
"Mission fail. Scanning... scanning, reason reached: 'unforeseen curcumstance' recommended action: flee, recuperate, retry"
"You are not going anywhere you scumbag!" Fuushin's eyes filled with rage. He began to play through the fire and flames, which was easily dodged by the man. He then began to play fury of the storm. Several blades of air shot towards the man, but he acrobatically dodged them, almost in an art form. Fuushin charged a lot of energy into Shikenkinzoku, he then played the third part of the inhuman riff. A blinding light shot from the heavens and the instrument transformed to Masamune, the holy blade "Run simulation. Predicted outcome: failure, reason: not enough stamina. Run simulation. Predicted outcome: failure, reason: health too low. Predicted battle success rate: zero, reason: stats too low to stop the attack. Chosen course of action: nothing. Fatal error detected. Estimated time till expiry: five seconds" Fuushin jump kicks off of a pillar towards the man, Masamune raised high above his head "Critical prediction failure, further analysis was required. Drawing file on target. You know nothing" his red eye twitches and he smirks. Fuushin slashes in a downward motion and the man is sliced clean in twain, releasing a large electrical discharge. "lousy opportunistic... part machine... thing arsehole. Did he just say he had a file on me... nah, screw it, it probably isn't important" the tears creep back into his eyes
"You ok?"
"Am I ok? Am I ok!? I'm in tears dammit! I have just lost three major people in my life and you ask me if I'm ok! You can go f-"
"It was a rhetorical question, if you weren't so angry you would know I meant no spite"
"I'm sorry, it's just... it's just been a really long day and now it's time for another funeral"
"This late?"
"I'm thinking about leaving the remnant"
"You can't, not in that form, you need to re-cloak and name change... again"
"I suppose... lousy relentless bitch"
"How do you know about that"
"I overhear things, therefore I know that it's my genetic grandma on my moth- late mother's side, Senbi"
"You're smarter than she gave you credit for... than anyone gave you credit for"
"Thank you, now can the funeral begin?"
"Since you will be the only one attending we can go"
"Technically you are attending too"
"Guess you're right" the funeral went on for about half an hour. At the end, Fuushin began to play leader of the band. Once the song ended, Fuushin dug Shikenkinzoku into the ground next to him. A large crash was heard behind him "Can't a man mourn in peace?" Fuushin turned around and. Was shocked at what he saw. An automated technological monstrosity "Huh, I didn't think these existed"
"In your home remnant these were in development, obviously this is a finished prototype. She must really be confident that it'll work"
"It won't"
"How do you know"
"I thought my dad was bullshitting me about secret hidden powers and restrictions, now I know he wasn't"
"You do realise that this is technically illegalised, right?"
"It is to be used in desperation, and to protect"
"This does fit into one of those circumstances, go for it"

"First lock, release. Second lock, release. Third lock, release. Restriction thirteen lifted. Forbidden weapon, true Shikenkinzoku activate!" a large beam of light and dark shoot from the sky down to Shikenkinzoku. A strong wind blows around both Fuushin and the enemy in a circular motion. Fuushin's eyes glint "There is no escape. This is entirely different to the first, second, and third forms. This has entirely different skills. Overpowered, overaccurate, understamina'd. You will find out why this weapon is forbidden soon enough" an evil smirk spread across his face. Fuushin played a deep resonating riff, severely increasing attack. He then played through the fire and flames in its true form; damage per note and syllable. Fire raged around Fuushin, it shredded into the enemy, discharging and destroying buildings, but not harming any innocents. The fire contorted into several shapes, condensed into beams, varying per note, stacked four times this was an unavoidable and deadly attack. As the final notes of the final song were played, a large symbol appeared below, above, in front, behind, and either side of the robot. Upon the exact moment of the final note being played, a large explosion devastated the local area, but due to a certain loophole, he was allowed one more move, he chose the final form of Ancile; all damage that would be dealt to any ally this turn is negated. The fires raged on, through the fire all could see only evil. The shadow of a man raising his instrument high, a demon wing and an angel wing spread. Hetrochromatic eyes staring through, glinting in the flames. All felt fear and anger, but didn't dare close in. Unbeknownst to them, the one they feared was the one who saved them... And blew a humongous hole in the remnant, devastating most of the surroundings.
"Great job overdoing it, hero. You had to go overboard didn't you"
"I got a little carried away"
"A little!? Seriously, you didn't even need to power it up. Hell, you didn't even need to stack it. Putting damage into millions is definitely going overboard"
"Fine, I won't do it again... Unless it becomes less illegal"
"Unless everybody ends up with at least half a billion health, I don't think that'll happen"
"I had to try the true form at least once, but what's to stop others from activating true form?"
"The three locks: demon, angel, human. You need to be a thirdbreed to activate true form. And the likelihood of seeing another thirdbreed is... well, let's just say, I wouldn't get your hopes up. Also, the thirdbreed must be in true form for this to be able to occur. They must be feeling the need for revenge, and the need to protect. It is a balance between good and evil. I could bore you with myths and legends right now, but no" Animadverto walks up to Fuushin and places a small circle perfectly on the centre of his chest. "Now, create a new name"
"What do you think of 'Zephyr Hikage'?"
"Perfect. Now, you should go elsewhere, return here every year, something interesting may happen at some point. And that's pretty much all I can say without breaching law" he opens a remnant gate behind Zephyr "You may not know what lies ahead, but you can have fun finding out. Live a regular life, travel between remnants, don't devastate any more of them, don't break cloak as I'm leaving soon, and that was my last" Zephyr walked up to Animadverto and hugged him
"You have been a great friend, not just to me, but my entire family. Thank you"
"You have nothing to thank me for. Your journey from now on will be long a-" the robot explodes mid-sentence
"That took long enough to blow up"
"I thought it exploded at the same point of the final part of your attack"
"Evidentially not, anyway, you were saying"
"Hm? Oh yeah... I forgot"
"Don't worry, goodbye, until fate decides we are to meet again" Zephyr waves and walks through the gate. The gate snaps shut, and dissipates into nothingness.
"Fate shall cause us to meet again, until then, may your quests be successful. You are part of a legacy. At the end of certain times, a warring remnant is created, a never ending conflict. Always is born a person that is destined to save the remnant from destruction, and always has he been know as Hikage. It is prophesised to happen, and it never has failed. Always I have been forced into this endless cycle, you may not end the cycle, but you will end the war"
"Stop yer preaching! Some of us are trying to sleep!" Animadverto opened a remnant gate again, he walked through it, back home "Even though the story seems to have ended, it has only just begun"
