You weren't too bad yourself, but I live here, and therefore am not leaving to get drunk... I'll have a shower first. You go on ahead, I'll find you later. Of course, even I could tell she was lying, but I wouldn't argue, this was really my only chance to escape. She stepped through the door and into her quarters, obviously tired, and having trouble walking. I quickly put my clothes on and my hood up, concealing my face entirely. I re-attached my hidden blades, making sure that Akira didn't notice that I had them. I checked to make sure all my weaponry was still present, finding that it all was.
I suppose I should thank you for rescuing me... despite the fact that you took a reward before you did... but oh well, I don't really care. Any rescue is better than no rescue. I would prefer to leave through the front door, but oh well, whatever floats your boat. I climb into the ventilation and begin to crawl back through. Fucking hell! This is painful... Man was not meant to have that much sex in one night... I wonder if I should go with her to the pub... technically, I could be in a lot of trouble anyway... but then again, she doesn't know what I am so I should be fine...

I thought I just told you. Not the brightest being I see. What I mean is, do not get involved in anything big. For example, do not get mixed up in the hell raven that had escaped hell. Akira got into the ventilation and crawled her way to the roof. On the roof she stretched and waited for Chaos to find it's way up.

Well then. In that case you have a lot more to tell. but first we get to my car. If you were captured, then it was for a reason. When they find out you are gone, we will have to shoot our way trough. And I have been shooting enough for today to be honest.

Akira moved to the point where she got onto the roof and climbed down. she would take it that Chaos would follow her, so she started running towards her car to unlock it. She decided it would now be better to keep her guns with her.

Who would have guessed I end up rescuing some kid today. This really is a lucky day.

I teleport forwards to the car. Heh, seems that the chips were only disabled while inside... must've been some sort of energy field. Also, somehow I don't think she'll follow us if she was the only one that captured me. Lousy sleep drugs. You do know that she was the only one there, right? She was probably just sexually desperate and took the first legally aged person she could find, i.e. me. As for the torture, I could see in her eyes that she got a sexual thrill from that. It was blatant. I wait for Akira to unlock the door of the car Even though I could just teleport inside, it probably wouldn't be right... also, due to my lack of energy, it wouldn't be wise to teleport anyway, lest I get trapped in the aether.

A brown-haired young man no older then 17 sat in the cemetery, in the same spot that Umino used for a seat for the past nine hundred years.

'Where is he..?' he sighed, looking down at the ring on his finger, 'And didn't I die? Why am I 17 again? Oh, it doesn't matter. As long as he gets here soon... I've sorely missed him for so long now...'

A portal opened up about ten metres left of the teen and Umino stepped out of it, before looking blankly at the grave. His gaze drifted until he saw the young man.

'Lord Admiral..?' he asked.

Alex stood up and walk over to Umino.

'Umino, your eyes are black,' he pointed out, 'and your clothes..! What happened?'

'Nine hundred years happened, Lord Admiral,' Umino replied, 'I shut Diotoir down just after your death in an attempt to escape the guilt... But instead, I lived on, just like Iris did...'

Alex looked at his age-old comrade and slowly wrapped his arms around the Lucridite in a tight embrace.

'Just... get better, 'kay?' he asked, 'I'll fix up your Command Prompt if I have to.'

Umino nodded, his expression still not changing.

'I understand, Lord Admiral,' he replied, 'I'll show you to the Diotoir.'

Alex let go of Umino, who set off in the direction of a dark alleyway not too far from the cemetery.

Why is he so emotionless? Alex asked himself, Has nine hundred years changed him..? Did he become so sombre that he forgot how to feel other emotions..? Or did him shutting himself down break his Command Prompt..? More to the point, did me dying break it? Any which way, I need to find out...

Akira unlocked the door for Chaos as she got in. She started the car. Now she knows of the existing danger, she wanted to get out as fast as possible.

You know, Now that I am not completely taken over by the idea of sex, I can think clearly and tell that you aren't all fair in what you tell. I want the truth. I won't torture though, I just kill instantly. And I am more dangerous then that entire lot from that building. So you better not lie to 'The Raider Hunter', or you will have bullets inside you and me going for another round on your corpse. And then go to the pub to get drunk.

It was getting late and Xan was pretty much used to the body now. he had even gotten combat training because he wouldn't be able to use his actual body. He was even given a gun. Then the android that was with him the whole time brought him to the leader of the androids that were on earth. It looked like a normal android, but just had its things that made him look different. Pretty much the same as with humans.

Android leader: So you are Xan, the mechanical war machine. You probably wonder why you are here. Well, I am going to tell you.
There is enough I would like to have an answer to. I see there are no intentions on turning me into one of yours. So, what can I call you?
Android leader: If you want to call me by a name, use Terra. I am not so difficult on these kind of things. We all have our own personality after all.

But the problem is that they don't listen to reason. Hack into their history files and take a look. You will see that in this entire war, only the humans launched attacks against us. All we did was defend. Never even launching one attack. Sure there are others that build androids too and attack humans using them, but they are not like us.
Hacking now. Shockingly, you are right. No wonder you wanted me. I am a machine with a human soul inside it. Good thing I have human friends. One of the is in the army, the other two quite after some trouble. I will help with bringing an end to this war. And then, I will take down that hell raven.
Terra: I am glad to see you took your time to listen to us.
Take a look in the military files. Another attack is being planned. And... Akira is going to be in it. ... ... Send me into the field. I must find Akira, no matter what.
Terra: Is that your friend? But how will you convince her that you are you when you look like this?
If i get in a fight with here, normal fighting with shooting won't work. So I will go with my old way of fighting and walk like a beast. At some point, she must recognise my style.
Terra: and what if she doesn't, or thinks it is fake?

Xan left and went looking for where his body was being kept. He found it, seeing his entire body open and androids working on it.

Android: Any thoughts?

Androids: Heh. I'll see how good your plan will work. He really is odd, but he is good. I just hope this Akira person is trust-able.

A sudden crash behind the two companions dictated that something big had just landed on - and possibly crushed part of - the pavement. Alex turned first, and his reaction was one of shock and surprise.

'Jymaru!?' he asked, not quite believing his eyes.

'Yo,' Jymaru replied, adjusting her hat, 'Do you KNOW how hard it is to find a world where you're alive, GF? It's like looking for a needle in a haystack!'

'Implying?' Umino asked flatly, his expression nor tone changing. He didn't even bother to look back at his old friend.

'Woah,' Jymaru sighed, 'Who adjusted the Umino? He reminds me of Caelureus... 'cept not evil... I hope.'

Umino continued onwards, ignoring the blue-haired Kamiwane. Alex shrugged an apoloy to his old friend before following Umino once more.

'Gee,' she complained, 'What's up with him anyway? I wonder if his Command Prompt got trashed...'

'Hey, Sigma, look out the window,' Deklan chirped mischievously, pointing down at Umino. He was lucky enough to live right next door to where Umino was walking past, 'That there's your replica... or original. I have absolutely no idea.'

Sigma didn't reply.

When Umino and Alex arrived at the Diotoir, Umino placed his left hand on the hull of the great spaceship, making it spring into life. Colour returned back to his eyes, making them the brilliant blood red they were, nine hundred years ago. The cockpit door swung down, creating steps for the duo to climb up. When they entered the Diotoir, the first thing Alex noticed was the green letters displayed on the main screen. He rushed over and analysed the writing.

'This is your Command Prompt,' he said, partially to himself, but mostly to Umino, 'It has a Conditional Branch... So that's why... WHO ON EARTH DID THIS!?' His fists hit the panels so hard that the whole ship shook.

He calmed himself down and began trying to remove the Conditional Branch.

'So, got any more intel?' Deklan asked, swiveling round on his chair to face Blaire.

'Eh... no,' Blaire replied, 'I'd say we need to go search ourselves, rather than rely on surveillance.'

She got up and put on her jacket, closing her display viewer and putting it in her pocket.

'our people should be enough for a small-scale surveillance, yes?' Deklan asked, also standing up, 'We'll bring Sigma along and Harris can come too, if he wants.'

'Sure,' Harris replied, 'But one question: are we just gonna let Ivan sleep in all day?'

Blaire shrugged and headed outside, the other three in the room following her.

Umino walked up behind Alex just as the latter finished fixing the Command Prompt. Alex turned just in time to catch Umino, making sure that his companion didn't fall too hard. Rebooting always took a while.

Top ranked military units are far from idiots. Though acting like one is a good way to fool your enemy's. You surely won't live if I start hunting you. You don't even know who you are talking to. Also, if there is no point in lying, then tell me your true identity. You are not just any random free-runner. Free-runners don't come armed you know. I felt them when I grabbed you clothes earlier.

Akira played around with the gas panel. She noticed that she still even had some grenades in her pocket. Not the safest way of keeping them, but it always worked for her.

And if I didn't allow you to get on the car, then why would I have unlocked the door. So, cut the crap and hurry up. Ain't got all night to get drunk.

You would've had to unlock it for you to get in. But either way, I am not telling you who I am. I am obliged to tell you my name though, so, I'm Chaos Darkblaze, and that's all you need to know. I get into the back seat of the car and sit down, putting the seatbelt on. So THIS is why I shouldn't ever be seen by anyone else... Well, maybe I can stall her until we get back to town... information about the guild is highly classified, in fact if anybody outside hears about it, they need to die, and I don't much feel like killing her... well, maybe she'll get so drunk she can't follow me... hopefully. Heh, she thinks she's the first person to hunt me, how cute. Besides, lots of people carry weapons for self defence.

Akira started driving at high speed.

They soon arrived at the pub. Akira noticed no-one followed them, so to her it was safe to put away her weapons. She got out of the car and opened the back where all her weapons were. She opened the box and dropped her guns in it and the grenades from her pocket. She closed the back.

Seriously though. What kind of technology is that of Xan. I can fix him, but I don't understand it. Sometimes I wonder where that body came from. Oh well, time to drink. Chaos, get out of the car and get drinking. That was what you were planning to do anyway. This is a good pub.

I already looked for my name, all databases show my death at the age of four.1 I am a dead man walking. I chuckle at the concept of her finding out she's talking to a boy that is classified as dead. I enter the bar and show the barman the card I was given earlier, making sure Akira didn't see anything on it. He simply nodded and took a bottle of strong alcohol, and handed it to me. I sit down on a stool and take a swig from the bottle. It tastes quite good actually, despite how I'm sixteen and therefore not technically allowed to drink... Although that may not apply to 'dead' people. I ponder the look on her face as she would realise that I 'died' at the age of four, causing me to chuckle even more.  Could I have an icepack please.
Why? I lean over to the barkeeper.

Ahem. Sure. the barman takes an icepack out of the cooler, he hands it to me without another word. I make sure nobody notices as I put the icepack down my trousers. I breath a sigh of relief as the cold surges through me. I take another swig of my drink.

Akira walked into the bar, instantly finding someone she knew all to well.

Boss! What the hell are you doing here?
"Drinking of-course. You're not the only one who likes to drink. And I knew you would be here, you will drive me back. So, no drinking for you this time."

Akira walked to the bar with a disappointed expression.

I became the driver for multiple people. Then I'll just stick to energy drink tonight. Guess my luck had to end somewhere.

Akira got her energy drink and drank a lot of it. She kept thinking about Xan. Not surprising. It's not the most usual being. Then she realised something else. She wa going to have to work together with others in the attack against the androids. Akira was only used to doing her job on her own. At least she did have her collection she found in the building. She got up and walked over to the people who told her about the rumour. Showing them the find. They didn't believe it. A rumour that was real.

Heh. Finders, keepers. This is getting added to my collection.

I guess it's not really possible for me to get out until she leaves. I sigh deeply. Oh well, could be worse, I could be dead.

Akira turned to Chaos, taking a seat again.

I know. I had a beer before I went to that place. And earlier... Well... A lot happened. I even survived an explosion somehow. Then the devil told me I shouldn't have survived that and... I don't know. It's just odd. He still helps me though. Guess being friends with the devil does have its advantages.

Akira was not realising that what she was saying would sound completely stupid to anyone else. It was all serious though.

I know what it's like to survive stuff that I shouldn't have... Never seen the devil though... Or maybe I did, most people don't remember much from the age of four... I order another beer and continue to drink. Wonder why this is having bugger all effect on me... Maybe I just need something stronger... You know, I would offer to drive, but I can't. Although I could probably learn insanely fast, like I did everything else. I continue swigging my beer, trying to think of a way to break the silence with something that isn't mindless drivel, or personal information.

Kid, you're sitting in my seat. I take another swig of my beer, assuming whoever it was was talking to someone else. I feel a tap on my shoulder. Oi, deaf fuck, you're sitting in my seat.

The man, his name apparently James, charges drunkly at me, raising the stool high above his head. I raise my hands into the air, grabbing it, I push it back hard, knocking him easily off balance, I then place the stool on the floor next to me and wait for him to get back on his feet. He gets up and irrationally punches, easily blockable, even if it were a untrained fighter having to defend. I block every one of his blows with precision before providing a swift counter roundhouse kick to the chest, sending the drunkerd flying back through the door. That was boring, I at least expected more of a challenge. I sit down, facing the barman once more. Do you have any stronger alcohol?

"Next time use one of your guns, kid!"

Akira looked at her boss and looked away again.

Damn him. He can't handle alcohol at all. He's just trying to mix in with how I usually spend my nights. I can get drunk, but it doesn't take me down mentally. Him, I think he's not going to be able to walk to my car properly. That's the leader of the army for ya.

Akira drinks more energy drinks, not really getting any energy. She just wished her boss wasn't here so she would have to act like a responsible person.

He was unarmed, therefore I too stayed unarmed.
You know as well as I do that he won't stay for long unless he is properly knocked out.
Speaking of knocked out, that guy looks like he's gonna go unconscious soon, at least he isn't violent. Either way, time for some mixing. Could I have your strongest alcohol, your strongest energy drink, and your biggest glass please. The barman puts a glass and two bottles on the table. I take the tops off each bottle, hold one in each hand, and pour them into the glass equally. I take a swig, and instantly feel a kick. That's better, I can actually feel something. You should probably sell this as an actual drink, it's bloody awesome. I await the almost inevitable sound of footsteps from outside.

I'll have to try that when I come here again. Preferably without my boss though. At least he won't notice it when I go past the speed limit... Or when I take a short-cut.

Akira was pretty much bored now. She started thinking about how she could best attack androids. They weren't exactly the same as humans. It might be a lot harder then killing human beings. On the other side, it may be very easy. She was quite puzzled.

Hyper and drunk, what a strange combination... I take another swig, feeling a rather large kick, I pour myself another, and continue to drink. The obvious sound of a gun being cocked is heard. Get the fuck out of this bar, nobody insults me like that.
Permission to use tranquilliser?
Permission granted. In one smooth motion, my right hand enters my pocket, picks up the gun, loads it with a single ketamine bullet, aims at his head, and fires, all before he can blink, all without me looking. The man crashes to the floor, unconscious. Nope, I'm still not drunk enough. I pick up both bottles, and pour them directly into my mouth, in equal measurements.
